Hi! I’m Reese.
I’m a filmmaker (Director, Editor, small-time Producer) working out of Cincinnati. On my main website, https://danzermedia.com, you’ll find all the fun sports cinematics, short films, event promos, commercials, and tons of other film nerd stuff that I do. But I also shoot weddings. And for me it’s not about the money.
It’s about the story.
My entire job, (my entire career really) is to capture and create meaningful emotions in audiences, and tell compelling stories. And your wedding is going to be full of meaninfgul emotion, and you’re probably going to miss most of it. And it will be a very compelling story… that you’ll likely forget.
By and large, I see couples making two major mistakes when it comes to their weddings.
- They assume that photography is “enough”, and they’ll remember everything that happens on their wedding day.
- They think that their story is boring, and doesn’t matter that much.
Your wedding is going to be a living collage of all the people, emotions, and history that is most meangful to you, and you, as the lucky couple, ARE going to miss most of it. It’s not a bad thing: You’ll be too busy getting dressed, getting fawned over, planning, stressing, putting out fires (or, much better, watching your planner put out fires), looking into each other’s eyes, trying to look pretty in photos, and just generally sitting back and watching everything move around you in a blur. You’ll have so much going on that you’ll forget yourself at certain moments.
All around you, your friends and family will be smiling, laughing, sharing stories, sharing food, meeting each other for the first time, and sending you love. Your wedding won’t just be about you, it will be about this entire new community, that forms solely out of your love for each other, and finally comes together on your wedding day in order to show you support.
Some members of this community will be with you for the rest of your lives. Some may be gone by your first anniversary. All of them will have unique opinions and emotions, and will be moving throughout your wedding day on paths that they will never repeat. Most of what happens at your wedding you will never even be around to see, let alone to remember. But it’s all going to be love, meant just for you.
Which is where I come in. I bring both my cinematic talents and an established team of content creators, photographers, and other filmmakers to make sure that the things that you miss on the day-of become things that you get to cherish forever.
