Bridal Party Interviews
If you’ve been invited as a guest, bridesmaid, or groomsman at your friend’s/child’s/parent’s(’) wedding, and they’ve sent you this article, I’ve got bad news for you: it means they’ve betrayed you.
Specifically, it means they’ve given me (their videographer) and my associates explicit permission to shove a camera in your face at the wedding, and make you talk to it. Hope you’re ready! It’s gonna be so much fun.
In all seriousness, having your perspectives on your loved ones’ wedding day is what’s going to make this video truly unique, personal, and memorable. All of my film-making skills are just flashy fluff images without your input, so thank you so much for being a part of this. And of course, you’re free to refuse if it’s something that you’re not comfortable with. Just let us know on the day.
This is just a short little explainer article to answer some common questions and give you a chance to prepare.
WHAT WILL THIS LOOK LIKE?
Usually a 30s-5m minute interview, done either during down time at the photo sessions, or sometime during prep. We’ll tap on the shoulder, find a good spot, ask questions, and let you go.

How do you know the couple?
This is mostly for us, so we know who’s who and what to ask. Hopefully the couple already knows who you are.
What are they like?
We’re looking for honest but loving descriptions, not fluff “they’re so wonderful they have a wonderful relationship” speeches. Don’t worry about sounding a bit mean, it’s funnier that way. It’s also great payback for them letting me put you through this.
Got any funny stories?
Anything goes, but especially stories from when they were dating, when they first met, etc..

Yep. Even if it’s not in the final edited film, the couple will get an unedited collection of all the interviews, so everything you say will be saved and sent to them.
